3Views, Various Roles, Washington, D.C. (July 2023 - March 2024)

Guest curated an issue on Woolly Mammoth’s The Sensational Sea Mink-ettes: selected the show, hired three writers, edited writers’ articles, and wrote editor’s note. Led group review of Ford Theatre’s Something Moving: A Meditation on Maynard with Mekala Sridhar and Divinia Shorter. Wrote article “Unnecessary” as part of 3Views’ 2023 essay series.

DC Theater Arts, Contributing Writer, Washington, D.C. (July 2022 - Present)

Write playwright profiles for D.C.-based productions, including Martyna Majok (Sanctuary City, Cost of Living), Benjamin Benne (In His Hands) and director Ethan Heard (Pacific Overtures). Contribute Capital Fringe Festival coverage and reviews.

DCist, Contributing Writer, Washington, D.C. (November 2022 - April 2023)

Wrote eight theatre production reviews under 500 words across seven D.C. area theatre companies. Wrote local theater performance guide for 2023.

NPR, Code Switch Intern, Remote (January 2022 - April 2022)

Helped produce a bonus episode on the Broadway show A Strange Loop. Wrote three entries of the Code Switch newsletter. Interviewed fellows for the Code Switch blog. Edited radio billboards/promos. Fact-checked four long-form podcast episodes. Produced “Race and Romance” segment for “Code Switch Live.”

NPR, It’s Been a Minute Intern, Remote (October 2021 - January 2022)

Pitched and booked episode featuring actors Sam Richardson and Ben Schwartz. Pre-interviewed guests. Created social media announcements for 23.2K Twitter followers. Adapted three episodes into profiles for NPR’s website. Fact-checked episodes and helped produce “Who Said That” segments. Wrote radio copy for each week.

The Wesleyan Argus, Editor in Chief, Middletown, CT  (Dec. 2020 - May 2021)

Edited 10–15 articles for weekly publication. Managed the newspaper production process and the community of 50 writers and editors. Conducted pre-semester training and discussions of anti-racism goals. Created new social media and podcast editorial positions. Instituted Argus Slack. Publicly interviewed Wesleyan University President at State of the School Address.

Edited four articles for weekly publication. Reviewed student theatre, recently released film/television, and wrote production profiles and cultural essays. Write and edit marketing emails for all dance, comedy, and Millennium Stage performances (combined 230K subscribers). Edit 23 Millennium Stage webpages monthly. Write radio/webpage/print ads. Helped teach ten contemporary plays in class “Award Winning Playwrights” with Prof. Rashida Z. Shaw McMahon. Facilitated class discussions, conducted office hours for help with papers, created alternate syllabus. Taught one class period with a presentation on Jackie Sibblies Drury’s Fairview. Wrote Argus review on Woolly Mammoth Theater Company’s Fairview production that was included on the week’s assigned readings.
